We are looking for an IT Continuity Expert for one of our partners. The company is a Norwegian multinational corporation that operates in the energy, metals, and materials sectors. They are primarily engaged in the production of aluminum and renewable energy, as well as the development of technologies for various industries.

What you will need to do in the role, and we will help you to do it:

 

• Collaborating with the team to develop and improve our IT continuity and IT recovery frameworks.
• Monitoring the performance and quality of our IT continuity and IT recovery frameworks to ensure their effectiveness.
• Developing policies, standards, and operating procedures that enable the effective management of business continuity, IT continuity, and IT recovery operations.
• Identifying opportunities for strategic improvement and taking appropriate actions to implement them.
• Verifying the accuracy of 3rd party contracts and ensuring their alignment with both business and IT continuity requirements.
• Verifying the GBS IT’s recovery capabilities and ensuring their alignment with both business and IT continuity requirements.
• Ensuring the correctness and effectiveness of all the different IT Continuity engagement processes.
• Developing effective strategies, scenarios, and plans to re-establish operations from various types of business / IT disruptions.
• Supporting backup management processes and activities to protect critical data.
• Overseeing all continuity and recovery efforts to ensure they align with our overall IT strategy.
• Enhancing the common understanding of business- and IT continuity, incident, crisis- and disaster recovery management, and backup management across the organization.
• Developing and delivering appropriate training materials, maintaining effective awareness, and delivering training and workshops to colleagues across the organization.
• Supporting internal and external audits to ensure our IT continuity and IT recovery frameworks meet all relevant standards and regulations.

 

 

What skills and experience are essential for the position?

 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT resilience, continuity, information security, risk and compliance.
• Strong understanding of the separation and correlation between business continuity, IT continuity, incident, disaster recovery, crisis, and backup management.
• Ability to translate strategic-level efforts to tactical and micro-level actions, with demonstrated experience in aligning continuity and recovery efforts.
• Experience in defining recovery and backup strategies, scenarios and plans, with in-depth working knowledge of IT continuity and other frameworks and best practices such as NIST CSF, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 / 2.
• Experience in supporting business impact analysis tasks, and integration of risk-based and compliance-related mindsets.
• Ability to draft clear and concise visualizations of complex processes, with experience in a shared services environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with representatives from different levels.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong visualization skills.
• Analytical, precise, and process-based mindset, with the ability to analyze complex problems and provide advice on managing multiple requirements at the same time.
• Ability to manage large amounts of new information quickly and understand correlations and dependencies.
• Fluency in English is required.
