IT Governance Specialist

We are looking for an experienced IT Governance Specialist to join our team.

 

 

What you will need to do in the role, and we will help you to do it:

 

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the I&T Governance Framework
  • Contribute to monitoring the performance and quality of the effectiveness of I&T Governance Framework
  • Work closely with IT stakeholders to identify improvement areas and coordinate the alignment with IT strategy
  • Develop IT governance assessment criteria for various reviews
  • Monitor and measure the maturity level / health status of I&T Governance partners
  • Ensure and monitor how major strategic initiatives are integrated into the daily operations
  • Provide support to governance bodies by attending meetings with respective SMEs and other personnel as needed
  • Establish relationships with representatives from various levels of IT
  • Develop governance process guidance, standard operating procedures and contribute to policy developments as well
  • Define and monitor I&T Governance Framework KPIs and ensure that these are communicated and understood
  • As part of GRC, contribute to the improvement of IT Risk and IT Compliance to be fully integrated and proactive
  • Monitor and measure the compliance and audit readiness level of GBS IT departments
  • Contribute to the development, and maintenance of GBS IT's internal regulatory frameworks such as standards, policies and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure that GBS IT’s internal regulatory framework is coherent, consistent, comprehensive, audit ready and fits with global principles, standards, policies and directives
  • Contribute to the standardized and effective collaboration, communication and reporting with I&T Governance’s internal and external partners (such as GBS IT departments, GBS business, other business units and corporate)
  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and rollout of the I&T Governance Partnership Program, including onboarding, offboarding and the training of capable point of contact personnel
  • Monitor, coordinate and contribute to the implementation of ongoing / upcoming strategic initiatives – and consolidate their objectives by identifying overlaps, dependencies and connections

 

 

What skills and experience are essential for the position?

 

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in audits, risk and compliance management
  • Ability to influence others
  • Familiarity with control frameworks and best practices such as CIS, CMM, COBIT, COSO, ISO, ITIL NIST
  • Experience in a shared services environment
  • Project & program management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems, provide strategic direction and lead initiatives
  • Able to manage large amounts of new information quickly and understand correlations and dependencies
  • Fluency in English

 

 

If you have experience in one of these it is a plus:

 

  • Globally recognized certificates like CISA, CISM, CGEIT, CDPSA is an advantage
